Countryside Playschool re-opening this summer!

My hope is to provide a mother's day out for homeschooling families so that they have the time for self care & to stay the course.  I was very blessed for 18 years to have my husband working from home & able to help, but now that he works away from home I know now more than ever how just a few hours per week can lift our spirits & give us the energy to pour back into our children!  I also would like to offer activities & classes that aren't always easy to fit in & that are often 'the more the merrier' :0) This is a drop off program, but you are welcome to linger, jump in, or observe (although I may put you to work washing dishes ha ha!).
We will have an introduction day on Wednesday, June 7 from 1030-1130 at St. John's Cathedral on Payson Road.  We will tour the building & outdoor area and children will be able to play & explore each space.  Please RSVP to me ASAP if you plan to attend that day & I will send an information packet with registration forms & parent handbook.
Briefly:
*We will have 2 sessions of 8 days each, meeting on Wednesdays & Fridays from 10-1pm.  You may choose one or both days per week, and one or both sessions (& we are flexible with sick days & vacations so you can swap out days between sessions).  Session one is June 9-July 7 (no class June 14) and Session two is July 12-August 4.  I want to offer enough summer flexibility but also know for sure that I will be able to cover our costs - so a simple summary is to choose a minimum of 4 days that you will be able to attend & pay for those on the first day of the session you attend.  The supply fee will be due with registration forms on June 7 to hold your spot.

*Tuition is $12/day with a $2 discount per sibling, payable on the first day of each session with a $15 supply fee per family per session.
*We will have two age groups: 3-5 year olds will have our son Zach & his wife Julia as teachers, & I will teach the 6-10 year olds.  Both classes will rotate through 4 different learning areas: outdoor/gardening; cooking; art; tinkerlab/sewing/games. Both age groups will make lunch on Wednesdays & bring a sack lunch on Fridays.  Countryside will provide the food for cooking days - be sure to note allergies & sensitivities on the registration form so we can provide alternatives.  The younger group can take 10 children & the older group can take 12.

*we currently have 7 openings is prek & 5 in elementary

*I will be posting updates & samples of art projects, etc. leading up to opening day & beyond. Feel free to check countrysideplayschool.blogspot.com  &/or subscribe by email on the right hand side of the page to get automatic updates as I add them. We may also continue one day per week into the fall, to be determined & as there is interest!
Blessings to you & hope to see you soon!
Shannon, Zach & Julia
