Pictures from our October Forest School

Team Work!

Lots of baby-wearing mamas!

Children made their own paintbrushes from sticks & pine needles or grass

The freedom so take risks & be successful - or learn from mistakes

This engineer built a structure all by himself while several others debated what to build!

After our time in the woods we visited a nearby corn maze & had dinner together

#wearallthebabies !!
We had 30 attend our first free forest school!  Hope to have as many as that in our next one!

Forest School Martinmas Celebration - Lantern Walk - Potluck

Forest School in November will be a bit later in the day, so that we can enjoy the night sounds in the woods & see our homemade lanterns glow!

Let's meet at 'base camp' across the bridge & make our lanterns at 4pm.  Then we can get the campfire going & enjoy our potluck dinner.  After a 15-20 minute walk (on clear gravel paths - jogging strollers will do fine), we'll head back to base camp for campfire songs & s'mores.  End time around 7/8.

We will make our own lanterns to carry with us & light the way on our lantern walk....we will collect coats & other warm clothing to be exchanged with each other or donated to shelters in the same way St. Martin shared his cloak with a beggar....bring a dish to share for a potluck dinner....bring blankets/chairs to sit on around the campfire.
