Forest School & Corn Maze

When: Friday, Oct. 5. Forest School will begin at 2pm & go until 5pm when the Corn Maze opens (this way you can eat lunch at home & your littles can get a nap on the way over - it's a 45-50 minute drive)
Where: Forest School at Lake of the Oaks, Corn Maze in St. Patrick (5 minutes from our place).  I will send a map & directions when you RSVP.
How Much: Forest School is free; Corn Maze is $5 for 5 & up, free for anyone 4 & under
What: Forest School will be outside the whole time, so dress for the weather & bring a change of clothing!  Boots would be good - we have a nice clearing for group activities but we hope to do a little hiking as well.  We'll have planned art & nature study & also plenty of time for making a snack & free play as well.  Materials will be available for children to build forts, swings & whatever their imagination & team work comes up with!  This is for ALL ages, babies through high school & adults - children over about 12 would be fine to explore the woods or kayak as their parents are comfortable (there are 40 acres of forest!).  Bring an ergo or other baby carrier if you have it so you can hike comfortably - or let me know & you can borrow one of mine (I have 2).  We have sand & water for littles so be sure to bring what you need for messy play ;0)
I'd like to do this every season so the children can really observe the same place & see how it changes.  The next of course will be winter & probably in January if we are not in Florida ha ha
Please RSVP by Tuesday night if you plan to come so I can be sure to have enough supplies & snacks etc.
Thank you!

  1. With drop here and soccer year arrived, family members are often looking for trips they can do as a family. Maize mazes are a well known drop fun action with the advantages of outside exercise and working as an organization to find the way through the labyrinth.Corn mazes are especially fun at night and, if you challenge, try a haunted one on Hallow's eve. crossword puzzle
